Our Transport in Hybrid Materials Group leader Dr. Fabian Paulus was selected as a "TUD Young Investigator". Now he is one of currently 36 TUD scientists having this special status. The "TUD Young Investigator" status strengthens independent junior research group leaders by fostering their integration into the faculties and offering a qualification programme tailored to their particular needs. The status is awarded for a limited time and includes some special rights being normally reserved for professors.

So -at some faculties- the Young Investigators will be accepted by the faculty as an assessor and examiner in doctoral procedures, particularly with regard to the dissertations they (co-)supervise, and they will be given a TUD university teacher as a mentor and direct contact. In addition, they will get the opportunity to take part in a range of training courses individually designed to address the needs of academics in this qualification phase.
