Science Exhibition Opens on Neumarkt Square in Dresden

From 4 July until 3 October 2016, the unique research alliance DRESDEN-concept (DDc) presents an open-air science exhibition in the heart of the Dresden's old town. Right beside the world renowned Church of our Ladies (Frauenkirche), in the middle of the Neumarkt square, Dresdeners and visitors have the chance to learn more about the variety and excellence of the local research landscape. The exhibition aims to inspire the audience with scientific highlights. It is structured into the four fields of scientific competence which were identified in the course of the application process within the German Initiative of Excellence. cfaed and the 5G Lab Germany contributed the contents of the area "Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and Microelectronics".
Videos, interactive elements for all age groups and info boards in German and English provide an overview of the latest research results of the DDc partners. Around the clock, in any weather and free of charge!
Dresden's mayor Dirk Hilbert, TU Dresden’s rector Prof. Hans Müller-Steinhagen, and numerous directors of the DDc partner institutes will officially open and visit the exhibition on 7th July at 10.30am. The exhibition can be visited already starting 5 July.
