Second place for TU Dresden: The electronics consumer advice website CHIP.de has ranked TUD in the top tier of academic institutions in its latest innovations study, “Digital Innovators 2023.”

Digitization was cited as a key factor for innovation. The study examined which German companies and institutes particularly excel in terms of digital innovation, and ranked them accordingly. The number and quality of patents filed played an especially important role. TU Dresden achieved outstanding results and came in second behind the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft zur Förderung der angewandten Forschung (Fraunhofer Society for the Promotion of Applied Research).

The TU Dresden company NaMLab – nanoelectronic materials laboratory also made it into the ranking, coming in at number 21.
