German Chancellor Olaf Scholz learns about KSI Meinsberg's "WaterMonitor" cooperation project with Chongqing University

As part of his visit to the People's Republic of China, the Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany learns about the joint research project with the Chongqing University to monitor water quality (project "WaterMonitor"). During an on-site visit to the Yangtze River, KSI's partners from the university presented their cooperation work. The Chancellor carried out "hands on" measurements, acknowledges the cooperation and emphasizes the importance of the work to protect the environment.

The cooperation project under the umbrella of the simul+InnovationHub at the Saxon State Ministry for Regional Development (SMR) was agreed in March 2019 during a delegation trip led by Minister of State Thomas Schmidt. Fraunhofer ENAS Chemnitz, the environmental office of the city of Chongqing and the State Operating Company for Environment and Agriculture of the Free State of Saxony (BfUL) are additional project partners.
