cfaed Research Festival: Professor De Micheli talks about ‘Cyberphysical Systems’

During the cfaed Research Festival on 20 March, the Professor Giovanni De Micheli gives a talk on “Technologies and Platforms for Cyberphysical Systems”. The connotation ‘Cyberphysical Systems’ comprises different mobile and embedded devices combining computer-technical and physical aspects.
Giovanni De Micheli is a member of the Scientific Advisory Board of the Cluster of Excellence for microelectronics of Technische Universität Dresden. The Board visits the Cluster at least once per year to learn about trecent development within cfaed. Giovanni De Micheli is Professor and Director of the Institute of Electrical Engineering and of the Integrated Systems Centre at Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale (EPF) Lausanne, Switzerland. He is program leader of the Nano-Tera.ch program. Previously, he was Professor of Electrical Engineering at Stanford University. The talk starts at 2:45 pm at the Barkhausenbuilding, Heinz-Schönfeld Hörsaal, TU Dresden.

cfaed Research Festival: Professor De Micheli spricht über „Cyberphysical Systems“
Professor Giovanni De Micheli spricht am 20. März beim Research Festival des Center for Advancing Electronics Dresden (cfaed) über “Technologies and Platforms for Cyberphysical Systems”. Der Begriff Cyberphysical Systems umfasst verschiedene mobile und eingebettete Geräte, die computertechnische und physikalische Aspekte kombinieren. Giovanni De Micheli ist Mitglied im Wissenschaftlichen Beirat des Exzellenzclusters für Mikroelektronik der Technischen Universität Dresden, der sich bei der zweitägigen Frühjahrstagung über den aktuellen Sachstand in der cfaed-Forschung informiert. Professor De Micheli ist Professor und Direktor des Instituts für Elektrotechnik und Integrierte Systeme an der Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale Lausanne. Auch ist er als Programmleiter des Schweizer Exzellenzprojekts „Nano-Tera.ch“tätig. Zuvor war Giovanni De Micheli Professor für Elektrotechnik an der Stanford University. Die Gastvorlesung findet am 20. März ab 14.45 Uhr im Heinz-Schönfeld-Hörsaal im Barkhausen-Bau der Technischen Universität Dresden statt.
