First ESiM Workshop: Crossroad of Maxwell Demon

ESiM is organizing the 2-days international workshop «Crossroad of Maxwell Demon» at CEMES in Toulouse (France) on March 1-2, 2023.

The workshop will focus on how the micro-reversibility principle applies to the mechanics of a single molecule and how can be possible ultimately to tackle the Maxwell demon using a well-designed single molecule.

Intramolecular or quantum thermodynamics and single molecule motive power will be discussed, also considering which nano/micro-systems and electronic devices can reach the single object at the nanoscale (atom, molecule…), including cold trap experiments and theory with or without a supporting surface.
