This one-week summer school has been designed to showcase Dresden as Europe's largest microelectronics hub and TU Dresden as the ideal location in which to learn and research!

In addition to Technische Universität Dresden, GLOBALFOUNDRIES and X-FAB will give you insight into the exciting world of semiconductor industry. As one of about 50 advanced students currently working on your diploma, master or PhD thesis, or being a post-doc in engineering or sciences you will have the chance to get to know leading high-tech companies, the University, and the Cluster of Excellence cfaed.

This summer school offers a mixed learning environment of lectures, workshops, and several exciting visits to industrial locations, which enhances both the academic and the cultural value of the program.

You will also play an active role in the program: we would like to encourage you to bring a poster or a few slides from a seminar, your bachelor or master, a dissertation study or a project work. In small working groups you are going to prepare statements on different aspects of micro- and nano-electronics. In a panel discussion with high-level representatives from the industry and the TU Dresden, you will share and discuss your visions for the research field of microelectronics.
