Teaching

The Chair for Compiler Construction offers the following lectures, labs, and seminars, as well as supervision for the following individual modules.

If you are interested in writing a thesis at our chair, please reach out to Prof. Castrillon or a member of the team, if you find one particular line of research interesting.

Please note: For the transition period between the old and new study regulations, some modules are marked with the study regulation the module can only be credited for.

Individual Assignments

We are also offering supervision for the following individual assignments:

  • Forschungspraktikum Compilerbau (INF-PM-FPG, INF-PM-FPA -- SO 2009/2010)
  • Bachelorseminar (INF-25-Ba-BaSe)
  • Belegseminar (INF-25-Ma-BSem)
  • Analyse eines Forschungsthemas (INF-25-Ma-AFT, INF-D-960)
  • Forschungsprojekt (INF-25-Ma-FP)
  • Großer Beleg (INF-25-Ma-GB, INF-D-950)

In these modules, the student works independently but supervised on a given contemporary research project. During the project, the student learns the basic methods of research in the field of compiler construction, application of measurements, and evaluation and justification of results. The outcomes of the project are presented and defended to an expert audience. As such, the research intern has a great opportunity to get involved in the chair's research endeavors and an excellent preparation for writing a diploma or master thesis in our group!

How to get started: The projects are defined individually. You can get an overview of our current research projects, the collection of ideas for student projects or individually browse the staff pages. In case of interest, simply contact the corresponding staff member.
