Scientists at the cfaed-partner Nanoelectronic Materials Laboratory (NaMLab gGmbH) have demonstrated the world´s first universal transistor that delivers equal performance for n- and p- type response. They demonstrated an energy efficient CMOS circuit with one single transistor type instead of the two different types used in conventional electronics.

The change of Prof. Dr. Karl Leo to King-Abdullah-University of Science and Technology in Saudi-Arabia would be a great loss for the Center for Advancing Electronics Dresden (cfaed). Congratulations from the cluster: Cfaed-scientists are also successful in the „Initiative Zwanzig20“. The Federal Ministry of Education and Research today announced a grant of 45 million of euro for the project „FAST – Fast Actuators Sensors and Transceivers. A further sum of 30 million of euro should be contributed by the industry.
