The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) is the world's premier professional association of electrical and computer engineers. The highest degree of membership - IEEE Fellow - is achieved through nomination by other Fellows and subsequent recognition by the Board of Directors.
Prof. Thomas Mikolajick, Professor of Nanoelectronics at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology of TU Dresden and Scientific Director of the TU Dresden NaMLab gGmbH was appointed IEEE Fellow "for contributions to nonvolatile memory" at the November meeting of the IEEE Board of Directors, effective 1 January 2023.

The group of Prof. Yana Vaynzof at the Integrated Center for Physics and Photonic Materials (IAPP) and the Center for Advancing Electronics Dresden (cfaed) at Technische Universität Dresden has demonstrated a novel concept for solar cells, that exploits the ability of materials to exist in different crystalline phases. The related study has now been published in the renowned journal ‘Nature Energy’.

In cooperation with the City of Dresden and Johanniter Unfallhilfe Dresden, vaccination against Covid-19 will be offered once again right on the TU Dresden campus.
Where? --> TU Dresden Auditorium Center (HSZ), room 208, Bergstraße 64, 01069 DresdenWho and when? --> The vaccine will be offered on campus from November 2, 2022, prospectively until the end of the year. It will be administered Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Please note: From November 2 through November 8, 2022, vaccines will only be available to members of TU Dresden (students and staff) with an appointment.

The ZEISS On Your Campus Truck is currently touring around Germany and will take a stopover at TU Dresden for 2 days. The optics company invites students and TUD staff members to join and experience connected microscopy. In addition, there are two lab tours offered in cooperation with the Dresden Center for Nanoanalysis (DCN). The DCN is official ZEISS Labs@Location partner.
