The TRR404 brings together leading scientists in their fields as well as high potential early career researchers. Four research fields are covered by the TRR’s Principal Investigators (PIs):

- Chemistry
The PI Team was strategically chosen to cover all abstraction layers of an integrated system, spanning from materials all the way up to complete systems. The conscious selection of cross-site PI leadership teams for most of the TRR’s projects aims at creating a comprehensive and stimulating research atmosphere that is cross-fertilizing the project teams, their research and not least the PhD students.
